About Harpaboo
One-liner
Harpaboo is a free, offline iOS game where kids ages 2–12 practice recognizing their safe foods — and build the habit of checking with an adult — tuned to each child’s real allergen profile.
Boilerplate
Harpaboo is a food-allergy education game for children ages 2–12, built by a dad after his daughter’s allergies were diagnosed the hard way. Kids sort foods one at a time — Safe, Not Safe, or Ask an Adult — against their own allergen profile, covering 13 allergens: the Big 9 plus celery, mustard, lupin, and sunflower seeds. Every answer teaches where allergens hide, “ask an adult” is always rewarded, and the app is deliberately gentle: no buzzers, no scary red, no “wrong.” Harpaboo is free, fully offline, has no ads or accounts, and stores nothing off-device.
